I have been working in Real Estate for over 25 years, the last 12 years with David Nyman Realtors in Southbury, CT. which was
recently sold to Century 21 Home Services, and is now the second largest Century 21 in Connecticut, and 37th largest Century 21 in the world.
Over the 23 years in real estate I have been with three agencies. Each stop, has helped me to progress forward in a positive manner. I broke in the business with Century 21, in Winsted CT in 1984 and there, received excellent training in the nuts and bolts of Real Estate, financing and eventually management.
I later moved to a Coldwell Banker Franchise in Torrington CT, and again was exposed to more avenues of this business, such as; commercial real estate, land development, and computer technology. I was one of the key ingredients of an award winning office for production, statewide within the Coldwell Banker Franchise.
While working at David Nyman Realtors, I learned about marketing New Construction. Southbury experienced a tremendous growth during the past ten years and David Nyman Realtors was a big part of that expansion. Hopefully Century 21 Home Services Scalzo / Nyman Group of Southbury will continue to prosper as the town grows
Jeff Colt Sells Connecticut
A 25-year-old Southbury real estate agency has been acquired by a Fairfield County real estate group that includes one of the largest Century 21 agencies in the world.
David Nyman Realty, with 22 employees and offices in Southbury and Oxford, was sold Monday to Century 21 Home Services, a company that sells about $1 billion in residential property per year, said Douglas Rose, a senior vice president of Scalzo Group and Richter Real Estate, the partnership that owns the company. Financial details of the acquisition were not released. Century 21 Home Services is the 37th largest of Century 21's 6,600 real estate offices around the world, Rose said.
