Jeff Colt... Sells Connecticut Real Estate for Century 21 Home Services, the  Nyman Group, with more than 23 years of experience in real estate, specializing in the   Southbury,   Middlebury,   Woodbury ,   Roxbury,   Oxford,   Newtown,  Brookfield,
New Milford, Watertown, and the Waterbury Areas.
I have been working in Real Estate for over 23 years, the last 11 years with David Nyman Realtors in Southbury, CT. which was 
recently sold to Century 21 Home Services, and  is  now  the second largest Century 21 in Connecticut, and 37th largest Century 21 in the world.
Over the 23 years in real estate I have been with three agencies.  Each stop, has helped me to progress forward in a positive manner. I broke in the business with Century 21, in Winsted CT in 1984 and there, received excellent training in the nuts and bolts of Real Estate, financing and eventually management. 
I later moved to a Coldwell Banker Franchise in Torrington CT, and again was exposed to more avenues of this business, such as; commercial real estate, land development, and computer technology. I was one of the key ingredients of an award winning office for production, statewide within the Coldwell Banker Franchise.
While working at David Nyman Realtors, I learned about marketing New Construction.  Southbury experienced a tremendous growth  during   the   past   ten   years and   David   Nyman   Realtors  was  a  big  part of that expansion. Hopefully Century 21 Home Services Scalzo / Nyman Group of Southbury will continue to prosper as the town grows

Throughout all my years in Real Estate, I have found these three attributes that have helped me to excel in the field. These attributes afford me the ability to better serve my customers / clients in a more professional manner.

I’m sure that you are asking yourself these questions:
Why work with him? What benefits will I receive from him? What’s in it for me?

   This is what "I bring to the table that is of greatest benefit to you!"

Honesty: whether listing or selling a home, a truthful assessment of your property is essential. There is no reason to inflate the clients expectations of their transaction. I feel that the client is looking for a professional opinion and expecting to get a real unbiased answer to that question. One, on which they can base their future investments and livelihood.

Feedback & Communication: It is of paramount importance to furnish you the feedback and keep a steady line of communication open when dealing in Real Estate. We are working with possibly your largest investment, and you expect nothing less from a professional, than to receive consistent reports about your transaction.

Ability to Listen: I have learned through the years that the most overlooked attribute in the business is to be a 'good listener.' This will make for an easier, and smoother relationship in all aspects of life, as well as in a real estate transaction. To be a good listener enables me to understand your real estate needs, to qualify you financially to obtain those needs and to introduce you to the real estate opportunities that best suit your needs, in a timely manner.

In 1999, I decide that it was time to move on to bigger and better things. My family and I moved from Winsted CT to Southbury. I began a new career with David Nyman Realtors, Inc. Again, there was a learning curve to go through, as this market was a new experience. Here, the housing was more elaborate and expensive, the office deals with new construction and spec. houses as well as resale of existing housing. The concept of working with a 'dream home' for a buyer instead of a first home was a different style of marketing. I also became more experienced with corporate relocations, and interacting with more experienced and informed buyers. (This was a result of the technology age, and the ease to which the buyer and sellers have access to information that was not previously accessible.)

I hope that we can work together, and that I get the opportunity to either market your home or assist you in the purchase of a new home in the not to distant future.
